Kevin Mellott

Kevin is a Principal Data Consultant with nearly twenty years of industry experience, specializing in the Healthcare, Financial Services, and Insurance sectors. He has an extensive background in Data Engineering and has presented at various industry conferences such as the Spark Data & AI Summit. Throughout his career, Kevin has accumulated a wealth of experience architecting, managing, and building software and data solutions and places a strong focus on fit-for-purpose implementation strategies and delivering incremental value.

Prior to joining Continuus, Kevin built and supported large teams of Platform Data Engineers with an emphasis on automation and distributed systems. His teams created Enterprise Data Platforms at multiple Fortune 500 Financial Services companies while satisfying legal, compliance, and regulatory needs. They were early adopters of Databricks, Starburst, and Privacera, as well as many other up-and-coming technologies. Kevin is an inventor with five US patents pertaining to Data Analytics Platforms and is also a Committer within the Marquez Open-Source project, which provides real-time data observability.

He received his BS in Software Engineering from the Milwaukee School of Engineering, as well as a Minor in Management.
